Carmen's Review
Lyndsay, Pamela, and I decided to go to Panera Bread for lunch. Lyndsay decided to come because of the new sandwich (she’s eating healthy), so I asked her to describe what was in the sandwich and it sounded good to my ears; Roasted Turkey, Avocado and Bacon.

Afer eating the sandwich, here is what I thought. The bread was just ok. I think it would have been better on a different bread, perhaps wheat or italian? I gave my tomatoes away, because I dislike raw tomatoes, unless in a salsa. The turkey appeared to be real roasted turkey and was a very nice helping with good seasoning to it, not dry. The Avocado had nice portion slices and very fresh, as if they took it right off the pit. The bacon was crisp, and they provided a generous amount on the sandwich too; the mayo was a perfect amount.  Overall the sandwich was to my liking. The pricing for this sandwich was $8.29 which I thought was a bit steep.  However, I would go back and get this sandwich, on a different bread of course.

Two Thumbs Up Panera J
Lyndsay's Review

I will break this sandwich down into the good and the not so good.

The Good –
  • Roast Turkey - A welcomed surprise as it was carved turkey instead of deli turkey meat. Piled high it made for a wonderful base to this sandwich.
  • Sourdough bread - Good for this sandwich as it had a nice chew and was thin enough that it didn’t overwhelm the sandwich with too much bread.
  • Avocado – Nice healthy chunk of avocado.
The Not so Good –
  • Bacon – It was pre-cooked bacon, of course, not made to order, but there was not enough of it to call this sandwich a BLT as bacon is supposed to be the main staple of a BLT.
  • Seasoning – I found this sandwich to be a bit bland, it needs pepper and salt in addition to the mayo.
  • Price – This sandwich is a premium signature sandwich, the only one currently on the menu, but it tastes more like a signature sandwich and should be priced accordingly. Not worth the $8.29 price that comes with a premium signature sandwich.
Overall, I would likely not purchase this sandwich again as there are other sandwiches that I prefer more that are of better value.
